Photographer (with focus on Heritage Sites)

Takween is hiring a Photographer to document activities carried out for different projects by capturing photo’s not only of the achievements, but at that process and steps in the life cycle of the projects we implement. It is the interest of Takween to be well-represented in terms of photos that reflect the reality of our projects but more importantly to document efforts of the organization in restoring/renovation and bring change to urban contexts for future generations.
Takween seeks to work with a qualified photographer for the documentation of its different activities and events. The pictures will be used by Takween across various platforms (including digital and print). All original pictures should be delivered with metadata (date, detailed location, name, and surname of persons portrayed, etc.)

Researcher (gender inclusive urban planning and design)

The primary role is to provide support to Takween-ICD urban development program in areas of research, documentation, and communication activities. The Junior Architect will be engaged under the supervision of the Project Manager in different project phases including mobilizations, assessment, planning and implementation. Takween is a growing company that is looking for a Finance Manager who will be the senior executive responsible for managing the financial actions of a company. The position needs someone who can be hands on and is ready to roll up their sleeves and work with the team. The Finance Manager 's duties include tracking cash flow and financial planning as well as analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses and proposing corrective actions.
The role of a Finance Manager is similar to a treasurer or controller as the Finance Manager will be expected to be responsible for managing the finance and accounting divisions and for ensuring that the company’s financial reports are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
In summary the Finance Manager is:

Architect

Takween is a member of a consortium which will be responsible for the implementation of the USAID-funded Integrated Management of Cultural Tourism (IMCT) Activity. The objective of the 4-year activity is to increase tourism revenues and local economic benefits, including increased employment and business opportunities, in the cultural tourism sector at targeted destinations (Historic Cairo and Luxor Governorate). The four results of the IMCT activity are: i) consolidation and reinforcement of GoE efforts to improve the enabling regulatory environment for investment in sustainable cultural heritage tourism; ii) selected cultural heritage sites rehabilitated and financially sustainable; iii) higher-value added tourism products and services developed at target destinations; and iv) capacity to promote cultural tourism in target destinations enhanced.

Takween is actively seeking an Architect to work with the team responsible for achieving IMCT’s Result 2 (selected cultural heritage sites rehabilitated and financially sustainable) and to provide support to other consortium members in other areas of results. The Architect will work with in-house technical teams and external consultants - under the supervision of Senior Architect - to produce full and integrated architectural/urban design packages (from concept to tendering stages) in areas of architectural design, and architectural/urban conservation of selected heritage sites.

Full-Time (One year subject to renewal)

Project Office located in Cairo, with possible trips to Luxor Governorate. Accommodation and transportation are covered.
