Takween ICD is seeking to hire a talented and creative Graphic Designer to develop visual content for a range of projects. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for producing a digital catalogue of traditional woodwork designs, as well as media posts and printed materials for marketing, documentation, and communication purposes. The Graphic Designer will work closely with the project team to translate documented woodwork designs into engaging, high-quality visuals and will also collaborate with the other team members to produce materials that support the project’s outreach and promotional efforts.

Key Result Areas

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • A Graphic Designer skilled in drawing, sketching, digital illustration, art history, branding and marketing.

  • Work with the project team to design and format digital catalogue showcasing traditional woodwork designs, ensuring it is visually engaging and easy to navigate.

  • Work closely with the project team to integrate research findings, woodwork designs, and project themes into visually appealing materials.

  • Create a visual representation of an idea or associated text;

  • Responsible for design and producing all projects' publications such as booklets, reports, brochures, flyers, posters, illustrations, logo design, sketches, and visuals;

  • Design digital media posts to promote the project and communicate key messages to stakeholders and the public.

  • Information panels and different types of signage;

  • Manage production and printing for all the above.

  • Demonstrate a strong eye for detail in every aspect of design—from color choice to typography, ensuring that all materials are polished and professional.

  • Organize and maintain design files and assets, ensuring they are accessible and properly archived for future use.

Requirements

Qualification:

  • Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Art, or equivalent field experience.

Experience:

  • 2-7 years of working experience in graphic design, digital illustration, visual art, and branding.

Skills:

  • Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier), AutoCAD, Sony Vegas, Flash, Adobe acrobat professional, and other relevant software.

  • Fluent in Arabic & English (desirable).

  • Work on multitasks at the same time using a wide range of media, including photography and computer aided design.

  • Knowledge of graphic animation and video editing.

  • Knowledge of photography and photography editing.

  • Assist in copywriting as necessary and perform typesetting for forms and publications.

  • Creative mindset, with a strong ability to communicate ideas and concepts visually.

  • Strong understanding of branding, typography, color theory, and design principles.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Familiarity with traditional art, architecture, and design is a plus.

  • Knowledge of current trends in same field by conducting the necessary research.

Work Location:

  • The Graphic Designer will work at Cairo Office.
