Takween is hiring Videographer for the company to document activities carried out for different projects by capturing moments not only of the achievements, but at that process and steps in the life cycle of the projects we implement. It is the interest of Takween to be well-represented in terms of Videos that reflect the reality of our projects but more importantly to document efforts of the organization in restoring/renovation and bring changing to urban contexts for future generations.
Takween seeks to establish Long Term Agreements with a qualified Videographer for the documentation of its different activities and events. The Videos will be used by Takween across various platforms. All original Sources should be delivered with metadata (date, detailed location, name and surname of persons portrayed, etc.)

Key Result Areas

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

According to the nature of the assignment, the videographer will provide:

a) Program activity coverage - professional Videography documentation of Takween supported program, activities, and events.

b) First person narrative visual storytelling with captions & quotes - professional photographic storytelling focused on an individual, a beneficiary or an activity.

c) Everyday Voices - portraits of people, beneficiaries or key actors and partners of Takween.


Key Result Areas

The Videographer will be responsible for the following:

  • Record video footage of events proceedings, speeches, and interactions with the public.

  • Demonstrate creativity and storytelling skills to craft compelling narratives through video content.

  • Ensure that the videos align with the program’s communication guidelines and branding.

  • Conduct video editing and post-production tasks, including cutting, sequencing, adding overlays, titles, and background music to enhance the overall video quality and storytelling.

  • Provide timely delivery of edited videos to meet communication and publication deadlines.

  • Ensure clear and high-quality audio recording during events and interviews, using appropriate microphones and equipment.

  • Responsible for shooting quality indoor videos/Photo & outdoor videos/Photo.

  • Ensure that equipment for a shoot is present and working.

  • The videos will be used for promotional purposes, official communications, social media, and other platforms to foster transparency and public engagement.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team.

  • Create rough and final cuts.

  • Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process.

  • Design video ads for social media and marketing campaigns is a plus.

  • Create product visualization layouts to promote awareness.

  • Edits videos using filters and adding the necessary details by using editing tools, programs and various related digital applications to improve the videos quality.

  • Edit footage in post-production.

Capture and document the following topics in areas where Takween has projects:

  • Historical sites inside the city and surroundings areas.

  • Workshops, conferences and events.

  • The architecturally significant buildings.

  • Streetscape.

  • Community “portrait, social life”.

  • Crafts development.

  • Architectural details and interiors.

  • Community oral history and interview.

  • City tours and site visits.

The purpose of the Videography is to capture:

  • General documentation of the targeted buildings and sites;

  • Documentation of the project progress in the different sites (before, during and after);

  • Implementation activities (shots for project staff, ongoing work progress)

  • Documentation of all project activities including workshops, conferences, city tours, site visits, and events

  • Community interaction with the projects activities

  • Ethnography and art history interviews with community and different stakeholder

  • Tourism related activities including interviews with tour guides and tourists

  • Promotion and marketing of the city heritage through different channels.

  • The Videographer is responsible for providing his/her own Videography equipment and any supplementary tools needed to produce appealing material.

  • In addition to the above, Videos must be delivered in .AVI, .MP4, .MKV, .MOV, and .FLV., Full HD (1080p).

  • The Videographer has to abide by the project partners’ rules and regulations.

Reporting

  • The Videographer will report to Takween-ICD’s assigned Project Manager and will present the deliverables in high resolution soft copy.

Confidentiality and a Record of Right

  • All materials and Videos produced by the Videographer under this task will be the sole property of Takween-ICD, and subject to the project rules and regulations. The Videographer will maintain a high level of confidentiality with external actors/stakeholders, with regard to all the materials produced under the task.

Requirements

Qualification:

  • B. Sc. in Arts, or equivalent University degree in related area of study.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a stressful environment and with partners from different multicultural areas.

  • Flexibility to work and travel within Egypt as the project requires.

  • Engage target audience, create eye-catching reels, stay up-to-date with social media trends, think creatively, and cultivate video stories.

  • Mobile photography and videography skills.

  • Strong editing skills.

  • Artistic Eye and fierce attention to detail.

  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Creative and up to date with the latest trend.

  • An existing portfolio of reels.

  • Must be flexible in work and open to suggestions.

Experience

  • 5 years of working experience in videography and documentation through photos in heritage sites.

Duration and Level of Effort

  • This assignment will start during September 2023 for a total duration of 1 year. Contract can be renewed for another year if mutually agreed. The Vodeographer is expected to travel for his/her work and will be required to provide a minimum of (6) days a month, but this could increase upon request.

Terms Of Payment

  • The payment for the Videographer will be paid monthly after the submission of a time sheet which is to be reviewed and signed by the Project Manager. Compensation for accommodation, meals and other eligible travel costs will be made upon submitting of evidence and supporting documents; and according to Takween-ICD policies and procedures.

Location:

  • - The Videographer will travel around Egypt (depending on Project’s locations), noting that ourMain office in Cairo is in Maadi, Any possible trips to outside Cairo Governorate, the accommodation and transportation are covered by Takween.
