The Project Coordinator will support the Project Manager in the implementation of the “Women-led Traditional Wood Workshop and Showroom” project in Esna. The role focuses on providing administrative and logistical support, coordinating day-to-day activities, and ensuring effective communication among team members, consultants, partners, suppliers, and stakeholders. The Project Coordinator is responsible for tracking project progress, maintaining organized documentation, and ensuring all project components, production, training, marketing, and showroom are implemented according to the approved plan and timeline.
The Project Coordinator is expected to achieve key outcomes, including:
- Smooth coordination of daily project activities.
- Timely communication and reporting between the Project Manager and project partners.
- Accurate tracking of tasks, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Comprehensive documentation of meetings, progress, and outcomes.
- Alignment of project components with the overall objectives and work plan.
- Effective support in monitoring project indicators and preparing updates.
Key Result Areas
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities and ensure all tasks are progressing according to
the approved work plan.
- Follow up with team members, consultants, and partners to track progress and deadlines.
- Maintain and regularly update the project action plan, highlighting pending issues and
risks.
- Communicate updates, challenges, and required decisions promptly to the Project
Manager.
- Organize and document coordination meetings, tracking action points and ensuring follow-up.
- Support communication between the Project Manager and external stakeholders, ensuring timely information flow.
- Coordinate across different project components (production, training, marketing, and showroom) to ensure alignment.
- Support the monitoring of project performance indicators and ensure documentation of activities and outputs.
- Ensure all activities are implemented in line with the project timeline.
Requirements
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, development studies, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in project coordination, preferably within development, heritage, or cultural projects.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
- Good command of English and Arabic (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital project management tools.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Interest in sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and supporting local artisans, particularly women and youth.
Working Conditions:
- The Project Coordinator will be based at Takween’s main office in Cairo, with occasional travel to Esna as required.
