About the job

We are looking for a Procurement Officer with at least 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably with a strong understanding of local suppliers and markets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and coordinating procurement activities to meet project needs in a timely and cost-effective manner.
The candidate should be familiar with local sourcing options and able to identify the most affordable and reliable suppliers for various goods and services, while ensuring full documentation and compliance with company procedures.

Key Result Areas

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle day-to-day procurement of goods and services for various projects.

  • Source and evaluate local suppliers in Cairo, Esna and Luxor based on quality, cost, and reliability.

  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.

  • Coordinate with project managers and relevant departments to ensure timely fulfillment of procurement needs.

  • Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate, including RFQs, quotations, purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.

  • Monitor purchase requests and track orders through to delivery.

  • Maintain organized records and procurement logs for audit and reporting purposes.

  • Prepare regular reports on supplier performance, cost savings, and procurement status.

  • Stay up to date with local market prices, product availability, and sourcing alternatives.

Requirements

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a construction or contracting company.

  • Strong knowledge of construction materials and equipment.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with local and international suppliers in the construction industry is a must.

  • Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance practices.

Work Location:

  • The Procurement Officer will work in Maadi Office, Cairo.
