The Marketing and Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the public perception and driving the growth of the company. As a strategic leader in marketing and communications, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns, managing brand reputation, and increasing public awareness of the company's profile.
The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for planning, development and implementation of the Organization’s marketing strategies, communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. Oversees development and implementation of support materials and services for chapters in the area of marketing, communications and public relations. The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy to promote the company's program and activities, and to build relationships with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of communications principles and practices, as well as experience working with donor-funded organizations.

Key Result Areas

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Marketing Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and trends that inform marketing initiatives.

  • Manage and optimize marketing budgets to maximize ROI and achieve targeted goals.

2. Brand Management and Reputation Building:

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of a strong and consistent brand identity across all communication channels.

  • Manage and protect the company's reputation through effective public relations strategies.

  • Enhance brand awareness and perception through strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and community engagement initiatives.

3. Marketing Campaign Development and Execution:

  • Conceptualize and execute integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and traditional media.

  • Develop engaging and persuasive marketing materials, such as brochures, website content, and press releases.

  • Manage and track the performance of marketing campaigns, making data-driven adjustments to optimize results.

4. Digital Marketing and Social Media Management:

  • Develop and implement effective digital marketing strategies to reach target audiences and drive traffic to the company's website.

  • Manage and optimize the company's social media presence, creating engaging content and interacting with followers.

  • Leverage social media analytics to gain insights into audience demographics, interests, and engagement patterns.

5. Communication and Public Relations:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including media representatives, industry influencers, and community leaders.

  • Craft and disseminate press releases, media kits, and other communication materials to generate positive media coverage.

  • Serve as the company spokesperson, effectively communicating the company's message to internal and external audiences.


  • Leads projects as assigned, such as cause-related marketing and special events.

  • Engaging people in the meaning of the Organization.



  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, public relations preferred.

  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing communications and public relations activities.

  • Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media.

  • Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.

  • Computer literacy in word processing, data base management and page layout.


  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the not-for-profit or association sector.

  • Understanding of the line agencies of the Government of Egypt (GOE), Non- Governmental Organizations (NGOs) preferably donors and private sector; being in a similar position.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with and coordinate activities of multiple partners, including field-based staff.

  • Strong oral and written communications skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.

  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills.

  • Experience developing and managing budgets.

  • Excellent technical skills in writing, editing, formatting, research, negotiation, and verbal communications.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Willingness and ability to travel, sometimes with little advance notice.

  • International field experience in one of the organization’s relevant technical sector is a plus.


  • The Marketing and Communications Manager will be located in our main office in Cairo is in Maadi, any possible trips to outside Cairo Governorate, the accommodation and transportation are covered by Takween.
