About the job
The Junior Purchasing Officer is responsible for assisting the Procurement Officer with a variety of tasks related to the procurement of goods and services for the company. This includes sourcing and evaluating suppliers, contracts, processing orders, tracking deliveries, and preparing all supporting documentation.
Key Result Areas
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in identifying potential new suppliers and evaluate that they have the necessary business capacity. E.g. commercial register, tax ID, electronic invoices, ability to deliver, etc.
Assist in preparing purchase orders and implementing the procurement process and prepare GRN and payment request documents.
Providing regular reports on purchasing activities and analyzing performance as required.
Assist in providing suppliers with information necessary to complete the required documentation for the organization.
Organizing documents and paperwork related to purchasing operations.
Managing and organizing information and documents inside designed forms.
Raising any issues that may arise during the procurement process and sharing them with the Procurement Officer or Operations Department in order to find immediate solutions, in coordination with the operations Coordinator.
Requirements
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Sound knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel.
Proficient knowledge in English to be able to read the Purchase requests.
Experience :
1-3 Years in similar field.
Skills:
Excellent communication abilities.
The capacity to work effectively within a team.
Very Strong numerical skills for analyzing quotes and pricing.
