Takween-ICD is seeking for interns to assist in the documentation, needs assessment, and conceptual design phases of multiple projects in the heritage conservation and environmental upgrading sectors. The projects are in different locations including, Luxor, Fayyum, and Historic Cairo. The purpose of the internship is to provide an opportunity for individuals to substantively contribute to and learn from our work. The intern will be given specific tasks and responsibilities and will be challenged to develop their capabilities and gain experience.
Key Result Areas
The intern will support Takween ICD team particularly in needs assessment of the stakeholders and documentation phases of the working area(s), in addition to the conceptual design proposals;
Surveying of existing conditions of the study area(s);
Working on field with different stakeholders;
Assisting in developing and maintaining the outcomes;
Producing conceptual design proposals’ packages including drawings and 3D models.
Requirements
Undergraduate student (Senior) or fresh graduate with successful completion of at least 4 years of an undergraduate degree in Urban Design or Architecture;
Knowledge, experience and interest in urban development and community participation;
Prior experience in fields relevant to urban development is preferred;
Strong skills (AutoCad, 3D Max , Sketch up, Lumion, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illutrator, Adobe Indesign);
Good communication skills;
Good analytical skills.
